Beat Lawro week 13

It's all perfectly level at the moment, both of us hoping to make up for some recent poor performances

Standings:

12 weeks played, 115 matches
7-5 to Tarquin

Lawro - 60 right, 13 perfects - 36 points
Tarquin - 61 right, 10 perfects - 36 points

Liverpool v Man City
Liverpool v Man City (KO 1245 GMT)

Ah, nothing like a nice two-week rest that we call 'international friendlies' for the boy Stevie - Liverpool should go into this fired up, but they remain unconvincing, and City haven't left a league game untied since September, so I'm hedging on yet another draw for City (although six in a row must be somewhat unlikely)

Lawro: 1-0
Tarquin: 1-1

Birmingham v Fulham

Birmingham v FulhamBirmingham have the lowest home goal record of any team, and also the best home defence after Chelsea - Fulham, despite a clear lack of clean sheets aren't conceding too many away from home, so this one is looking tight to me

Lawro: 2-1
Tarquin: 0-0

Burnley v Aston Villa
Burnley v Aston Villa

Turf Moor is a nasty place to go - but we all know the team that love a good away game, the speed and pace of Villa should deal with the ultimately less-talented Burnley side, I think it could be a good battle though

Lawro: 0-2
Tarquin: 1-2

Chelsea v Wolves
Chelsea v Wolves

You know, Chelsea haven't drawn at all this season, and they go into this game without Lampard, Cashley and Bosingwa - and Drogba and Ballack remain doubtful...if ever there was a chance for a slip up...

But it's Wolves...some might say that's fortunate timing, as Chelsea's reserves, led by Terry should still swat them away - but don't say I didn't warn you

Lawro: 2-0
Tarquin: 3-0

Hull v West Ham
Hull v West Ham

I don't know where Lawro gets his information, but it looks like Carlton Cole will return for this bottom of the table clash, and they beat Villa without him didn't they? Well, regardless, it's West Ham and they haven't won on the road since the opening fixture at Wolves, Hull have to be favourites

Lawro: 2-1
Tarquin: 1-0

Sunderland v Arsenal
Sunderland v Arsenal
I don't see this being easy for the Gunners, they are hardly a force on the road, and with no RVP and a leaky defence I can see Sunderland taking advantage - Viv Anderson is going for the home win, but I'm sticking to a draw

Lawro: 1-1
Tarquin: 2-2

Man Utd v Everton
Man Utd v Everton (KO 1730 GMT)

I think Everton are still too rickety to mount much of a challenge to United, it won't be easy, but I think United are just too big a favourite here

Lawro: 2-1
Tarquin: 1-0

SUNDAY
Bolton v Blackburn
Bolton v Blackburn

Burnley are now better on the road than Blackburn, who have five played, five lost, and just three goals scored, while Bolton have showed they are pretty decent at home, unless the 'Big Sam factor' comes into play (and why would it with all of 6 fans in attendance?)

Lawro: 2-1
Tarquin: 1-0

Tottenham v Wigan
Tottenham v Wigan

Wigan have managed a few surprise victories this season, notably at Villa and Burnley, but Tottenham should be reasonable favourites at home

Lawro: 2-0
Tarquin: 2-0

Stoke v Portsmouth
Stoke v Portsmouth (KO 1600 GMT)

Stoke, I don't see how Pompey, the lowest scoring team in the league, could do much at the Britannia fortress

Lawro: 2-1
Tarqiun: 1-0
