Update: Now added Lawro's predictions

Wolves v Aston Villa

Considering Villa’s sturdy defence and counter-attacking football then I can only go for a Villa win here against Wolves rather shoddy back-line

1-2
Lawro: 2-1

Birmingham v Sunderland

My first instinct was a Sunderland win, considering their attacking prowess, but the best they’ve done on the road this season, since that first slim victory over Bolton, is a single draw, admittedly that was at Old Trafford, but still, against a pretty solid defence like Birmingham’s I think it will be tight

1-1
Lawro: 1-1

Burnley v Wigan

Might as well keep the faith in Burnley’s perfect home record

1-0
Lawro: 2-1

Hull v Portsmouth

Even the wildly unpredictable Hull have to be favourites here, though I wouldn’t bet on it

1-0
Lawro: 1-0 (what the hell is a 24-pointer?)

Tottenham v Stoke

Got to be a Spurs win, even without the suspended Defoe

3-0
Lawro: 2-0

Chelsea v Blackburn

Something’s gone a bit wrong at Chelsea – what a shame, I do hope it’s just not a blip under the latest superstar manager, but they remain undefeated at home – and collapsing defence and rubbish midfield or not, they still have enough quality to turn over ‘long-ball’ Blackburn, unless David Dunn actually is the messiah

2-0
Lawro: 3-0

Bolton v Everton

How entertaining this sounds… Bolton do like to put up a fight at home, and Everton remain unconvincing – I’ll go for a draw, though I had a dream last night that Matt Taylor got a hat-trick

1-1
Lawro: 2-0

Liverpool v Manchester United

Draw I mean, will Liverpool actually lose three league games in a row? Well, at least they’ve stopped that annoying drawing thing that crippled them the last few years, now they just lose…

But surely they have to bring it to this one – Rafa’s got to kick them in the arse, and no doubt if Stevie G and Torres are back they’ll provide something, and United are hardly world-beaters right now - and Rooney is likely to be out (so in short – all the big four look pretty ropey this season) – anyway, you can never call these, Liverpool might win, but yeah, still a draw

1-1
Lawro: 1-1

Manchester City v Fulham

The sort of home game where City will show us their true potential, they need to win if they have any real aspirations, and they should

2-1
Lawro: 2-0

West Ham v Arsenal

You may be able to pass a beach ball through Arsenal’s defence, and they may not travel well, but relegation hopefuls the Hammers haven’t won since opening day – yes, that’s even worse than Portsmouth, and only they and Pompey have failed to win more than one game – not the best prospects for beating Arsenal

0-1
Lawro: 0-2
